Scale
- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 2 tablespoons mayo
- 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
- 2 tablespoons orange marmalade
- 4 ounces cheddar cheese
- 4 ounces goat cheese
- 1 apple, sliced (optional)
Instructions
- Lightly spread mayo on one side of each bread slice. Flip the slices over and spread mustard on two slices and marmalade on the other two.
- Layer the cheddar onto the mustard slices and crumble the goat cheese onto the marmalade slices. Top the goat cheese with the apple slices.
- Press a mustard-cheddar slice together with a marmalade-goat cheese slice, mayo side out, to form two sandwiches.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Add the sandwiches, partially cover the pan, and cook for 5 minutes until the underside is golden brown. Flip, partially cover again, and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Cut in half and serve.
Notes
Cover the pan after flipping the sandwiches to help the cheese melt.
