Description

These Grilled Pork Chops with Herbs are packed with summer flavor thanks to a mix of fresh sage, lavender, and peppery grill seasoning. A quick maple balsamic glaze adds a sweet, tangy finish that brings it all together in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 sprigs of sage (about 3 tablespoons when chopped)
  • 2-3 sprigs of lavender (about 1 1/2 teaspoons of fresh buds)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon grill seasoning
  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prep the ingredients. Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel. Chop the sage and lavender.
  2. Make the balsamic glaze. Combine the maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, and broth in a small saucepan with half of the herbs. Simmer for 5 minutes until reduced in half. Set aside.
  3. Prep the pork chops. In a bowl, combine the remaining herbs and grill seasoning. Brush the pork chops with olive oil on both sides and sprinkle with the herb seasoning.
  4. Cook the pork chops. Heat your grill with a medium flame or a grill pan over medium-high heat. Let the grill or pan get hot for a few minutes, then add the pork chops. Cook on each side for 3-4 minutes or until they reach 145 °F or 63°C when tested with a thermometer.
  5. Serve. Pour the balsamic sauce over top and serve.

Notes

The finer you can chop the herbs, the better they will stick to the pork.

The pork chops will cook quickly. Try not to overcook them and check the temperature to make sure you're on track.

Grill seasonings can vary in saltiness. If needed, sprinkle the cooked pork chops with a little salt before serving.
